Anti-immigration sentiments in the US today calls for the unified response by the members of the Yoruba diaspora community. The peace of mind and security immigrants once enjoyed is being eliminated under the new administration. The radical changes we are witnessing in the US today resembles what occurred in Germany with the rise of the Nazi, anti-Semitism, and eventually WWII. The Yoruba diaspora community MUST not falter. We must prepare for an exodus.
However, our ancestral land in Nigeria is facing unprecedented insecurity and worsening economic hardship, threatening the safety, dignity, and prosperity of our people. As proud descendants of the Omoluabi heritage, we cannot remain passive while our father land cries out for protection and progress.
YSDM-USA is launching a Diaspora Fundraising Campaign (DFC) with two urgent goals:
1. Strengthening Community Security:Funds will support local safety efforts, including neighborhood watch programs, volunteer security training, and emergency response infrastructure—to safeguard homes, farms, schools, and livelihoods.
2. Promoting Economic Empowerment:We aim to fund micro-financing programs, youth and women-led ventures, vocational training, and food security initiatives to uplift families and communities across Yorubaland.
